What is the cost?
The cost is $425, which includes the 11"x14" illustration, double matted and framed. Sales tax and shipping (if applicable) are additional.
Are the illustrations only for brides-to-be?
No! Many of our clients are already married, and get this as a memory of their dress even years after their wedding. Husbands, mothers and friends find an All About the Dress™ illustration to be the perfect gift for the favorite woman in their life!
I'm getting married soon and would love to have this done after my wedding. When should I book my illustration?
We recommend you book as soon as possible, for a few reasons. One, booking will reserve our time in the calendar. Two, it will guarantee your pricing; and, three, you won't have to think about remembering to do it, since we'll contact you after the wedding. We require a deposit of $200 to secure the calendar date. The balance is then due after your wedding, before the illustration is completed and shipped.
What is the difference between a fashion illustration and a traditional portrait?
Fashion illustrations are a classically beautiful way of showing off an item of clothing. They are typically more stylized than a traditional portrait. For example, the facial features will not be "realistic", and the bodies are often slightly elongated. This creates the elegant and 'chic' look of a fashion illustration, and keeps the emphasis on your dress. Angilello's style has a slightly vintage flair, with delicate lines and soft details. You can view some examples in our bridal gallery.
Do I have to meet with the artist in person?
No; All About the Dress™ works from photographs or pictures.
What will I need to give the artist?
Depending on scheduling, it will take anywhere from 4-6 weeks. Rush orders may be available upon request and are subject to scheduling.
What is the exact size?
The illustration is created on 11"x14" paper, then matted and framed in a 14"x18" frame. Visit our gallery to see a sample.
Frame choices?
Antiqued silver (a warm silver) or antiqued gold.
What if I want to mat and frame it myself?
You can choose to purchase the illustration on its own; however, All About the Dress™ benefits from very good pricing on matting and framing materials. So it may cost you more to do it on your own. Because the paper (vellum) is not completely opaque, it needs to be matted and mounted to display.
What kind of paper or materials does the artist use?
Professional art markers are the artist's main medium. Acid-neutral vellum (paper) and acid-free matting materials are used.
How do I care for my illustration?
We recommend you place the artwork in an area where it does not get a lot of direct sunlight, to help prevent fading.
Does All about the Dress™ have a store I can visit?
No; our artist works out of a studio in her home.
Can I include my groom?
Since the illustration is stylized, and most grooms wear a plain tuxedo or suit, they tend not to look as special as the brides do in a fashion illustration. Most of our clients usually have plenty of great photographs of the couple; this is something really meant for the bride!

What will I need to give the artist?
- If you are having the illustration completed anytime AFTER the wedding:
Photographs of the bride in her dress: some full length, some close up. Usually 4-8 photos are sufficient; some clients send less and some send more. - If you are having the illustration completed BEFORE the wedding:
All information about what the bride plans to wear: her accessories, hairstyle, and of course, what the dress looks like. This information can be provided in the form of a casual photograph taken during a fitting, tear sheets from a magazine, etc.
Depending on scheduling, it will take anywhere from 4-6 weeks. Rush orders may be available upon request and are subject to scheduling.
